If you buy a table saw, you are not automatically a cabinet maker. Buying a laser does not make you an expert laser operator. The best move is to choose a tool that fits the process you already know, or to admit that you need to learn a new process before scaling it.

In our case, the right answer was to stay in our lane. That decision cost us one big order and probably saved us from a much bigger failure.
